Contractor Training and Development Manager - Portland, OR

AirAdvice for Homes seeks a dynamic self-motivated professional to support our customer success through training. Our customer base is quickly growing and ongoing training for our existing customers is paramount. This position is part of the Contractor Team located in Portland, Oregon.

About Us: AirAdvice for Homes has been manufacturing professional-grade indoor air quality monitors in the Pacific Northwest for over 15 years and we are the premier IAQ program in the marketplace. Our testing platform enables the user to identify and quantify IAQ issues in homes, and provide solutions to ensure a healthy home. We partner with major manufacturers such as Honeywell, Carrier, Bryant, and Lennox. Our goal is to constantly improve our offerings through investment in all aspects of the program, including sensor technology, reports, and training. Our platform is primarily used by HVAC contractors, but also IAQ consultants, energy auditors, environmental services contractors, doctors, research institutions, housing authorities, and the US government, throughout North America.

Position Description:

The Contractor Training and Development Manager is a part of the Contractor Team in Portland, Oregon and is responsible for overall management of our training program which includes:

  • Conducting webinar-based training for onboarding new customers
  • Conducting advanced training for existing customers
  • Phone outreach to existing customers
  • Maintaining our training curriculum
  • Development of new training sessions
  • Occasional live training sessions at customer sites
  • Managing 3rd party resources, such as contracted trainers.
  • Managing compliance with NATE, BPI and updating attendees CEUs
  • Phone-based training and technical support
  • Occasional conference/trade show presentations

About you:

  • You are team-oriented, and people you’ve worked with have great things to say about you.
  • You have excellent phone presence with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional, friendly manner via phone, and you’re an effective communicator, both and oral and written.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite: (PowerPoint, Word, Excel). You understand available tools, platforms, and strategies for remote and classroom training. Experience producing training videos a big plus.
  • You’re self-motivated, possess organizational skills and ability to prioritize, multi-task.
  • You’re enthusiastic about indoor air quality science, creating awareness about indoor air quality, and driven to support the mission of AirAdvice and the customers we serve.

Desirable but not essential knowledge and skills include:

  • Proficiency in Salesforce and GoToTraining a plus.
  • Experience training contractors
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS)
  • Knowledge of building science principles
  • Understanding of HVAC industry
  • Knowledge of indoor air quality is a plus.

Start Date: Position open immediately until filled.

Hours: 40 hours/week

Customer Service & Support Representative - Portland, OR

AirAdvice for Homes seeks a dynamic self-starter to assist with customer service and support to join our team. Our customer base is quickly growing and ongoing training for our existing customers is paramount. Strong verbal and written communication skills are a crucial part of this position.

About Us: AirAdvice for Homes has been manufacturing professional-grade indoor air quality monitors in the Pacific Northwest for over 20 years and we are the premier IAQ program in the marketplace. AirAdvice for Homes provides an indoor air quality testing platform that enables contractors to identify and quantify IAQ issues in homes, and provide solutions that ensure a healthy indoor environment. Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) has never been as important as it is today due to COVID-19. Our platform is primarily used by HVAC contractors, but also by doctors, research institutions and the US government, throughout North America and beyond. The AirAdvice office is small, with the energy of a start-up, but with the experience of a company that has been in business for over 20 years.

Position Description: The Customer Service & Support Representative is part of the Contractor Team located in Portland, Oregon. The position includes, but is not limited to the responsibility of answering incoming calls, making outbound calls, data entry, invoicing, and other administrative tasks. We seek someone professional, reliable, and courteous, who brings a positive outlook to work every day. Responsibilities include:

  • Customer Service & Support
    • General office administrative support.
    • Respond to incoming customer inquiries, provide support to customers.
    • Manage ongoing customer service cases.
    • Conduct phone outreach to existing customers.
  • Invoicing/Payment Processing
    • Create & send invoices to customers.
    • Payment processing.
  • Marketing Support
    • Assist in planning, editing and organizing monthly newsletter for existing customers.
    • Participate in team activities and special projects as needed.

About You:
